Description

Flag Point is a historically significant location in Port Blair, Andaman Islands. It's the place where Netaji Subash Chandra Bose first raised the Indian flag on Indian soil on December 30, 1943. At the time, the Andaman and Nicobar Islands were under British rule. Bose's act was a symbolic gesture of India's independence. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 150-foot-high Flag Point.
